The Pre-Entry condition survey services for Yachts and recreational craft will ensure the conformity of the boat’s condition with the particulars of the insurance previous to its acceptance, in order to evaluate its risk on coverage, and supply a fair market rate. The report will state the condition of hull and bulkheads, engine room and steering gear, electrical installations, navigation and communications equipment, tankage, firefighting and remaining safety gear, management, rigging and mast aloft. It will also present a list identifying major equipment by serial numbers preventing frauds, it will identify defects or other potential risks which may lead to insurance claims.
This service is aplicable to fibre hulls. Considering the osmosis as the cancer of PRF, by non-destructive methods of moisture readings (using a Tramex Skipper Plus-moisture meter) we will detect hopitetic osmosis or risk of its occurrence previous to you aquire your yacht. This service may be requested separately or included on condition survey.
Yacht vetting & pre purchase survey services are useful for Charters or Buyers to ensure safety and conform the compliance with regulations required for your chartering or purchase. The survey includes the inspection of the hull bellow waterline checking for lamination and cracks. We will inspect the topsides, accommodation compartments, deck, visual structural condition and overall appearance. Also includes a sea trial test on engines, remaining machinery, communications, electronic and navigation equipment, inspection of sails and rigging from deck. The machinery Inspection will be none invasive and focused on performance test results. Engine’s oil sampling and analysis may be performed if requested. Propellers and rudder will be inspected when lifted or ashore. Finaly, we will audit the management and safety systems and current market value.
